It's a hell of a lot easier to have multiple ranked wins when your opponents have only played 6 games instead of 10.

While I don't think a team that loses by four touchdowns belongs in I hope you get in and we play you. I do think if you get it and we do as well it's more likely that the committee will jump A&M to 3 to avoid the Alabama rematch in the semis.

Florida 8-1 great win
Mississippi State 2-6
Arkansas 3-6
South Carolina 2-8
LSU 3-5
Auburn 5-4 decent win

Let's not pretend you've played murderers row this season outside of the asskicking against Alabama and Florida who was certainly a high quality opponent.

But if role was reversed he would say how he deserves to be in, he is an arse.

and lets not pretend that we havent played a more difficult schedule than yall. we played two legitimate playoff contenders and beat one. that has to count for something. we then beat an auburn team who would have been your 2nd best win this year. im not saying we should be in over a 6-0 ohio state. i may feel that way but i get that isnt going to happen so i have no real interest in arguing that. my point was simply that poster acting like we had a rather equal regular season is ridiculous

Nah. I agree with you on the season. Just pointing out that other than a few teams the SEC is as much of a shite conference this year as every other conference.

And you are right about the two playoff contenders. I like to think that you and I are both reasonable posters that can have a good conversation.

basically the only nonconference we've had this year was the Sun Belt beating the Big XII. How do we know any conference is good?

the SEC is a mess at the bottom this year and that has led to a really unbalanced conference. vandy, tennessee, USCjr, LSU, and MSU are all total disasters and arkansas got really fricked by covid

we really dont have a middle like most years

There is no middle in any conference because of the schedules.

A 4-4 sec team is normally 8-4, ranked, and propping up the strength of record for the top teams. That team is 4-6 and sucks this season.

Even LSUs dumpster fire year would have a good shot at 7-5 and looking plain down, rather than disaster, in a normal year.

That the committee is so short sighted that they’re gonna force convention onto this top 4 instead of tossing a Cincy or Coastal in there so we can have a little fun is a damn shame.
