It's almost like Swinney has an incentive for Clemson to get into the playoffs.

He is seriously saying they should get in with 2 losses right now because he "feels" they are a top 4 team.

He's a paid employee of Clemson and he should be promoting his team

Ohio State simply doesn't have a case.

What a tater.

Dabo is doing nothing but whining that his team should get in no matter what, and he's using the complaining about the Big Ten season to do it.

He also conveniently omits the bye week the ACC created for his team.

It's almost like he thinks Clemson should get in regardless of what happens against Notre Dame.

They really don’t. You can’t put a six win team in over any undefeated or one loss team from the SEC, ACC or Big 12. I’d actually extend that to include two loss teams from those conferences and undefeated G5 teams.

They are.

Scruffy’s argument has nothing to do with the strength of the buckeye’s resume.

They don’t have a resume to rank.

If we win out, we’re in. Otherwise we don’t belong.

They have no resume at all.

And you ignored my point. The ACC changing their rules isn't nearly as pathetic and hypocritical as the big ten cause they didn't try to shut the season down only to come back with arbitrary rules that the conference had to amend once they realized how dumb they were

If the ACC had wanted to cancel the season and put themselves into a corner with stupid rules, id be laughing at them as well. But they didn't

Maybe Dabo is scared of playing OSU. But it won’t matter. Norte Dame is gonna beat Clemson again so they will be out of the playoff......
Clemson will win by at least 2 TDs.

I mean they obviously do since the committee has them at #4 right now.

Look, if the shoe was on the other foot and Clemson was 5-0 and there were 3 teams at 9-1 with OSU and PSU being 2 of them, do you HONESTLY think he would be like "yea we dont belong in the playoffs since we played less games".

This isn't news. he is being political for his team

Just because you think one is more egregious doesn't change the fact that both changed their rules to pander to their best teams.

You are on like week 3 of a melt. You should be the biggest ND fan in the world next weekend, but you'll probably spend it hoping OSU loses

This isn't a very good point. If you've ever looked at resumes, when you get one that's 11 pages long with a majority of useless data points (like Clemson's schedule), you throw it in the trash.

Meh, the changing of rule thing is not as big of a deal as people are making it out to be.
And while "Big ten champion" matters, Iowa and Northwestern are similar opponent to face next week.

The NCAA needs to go to a 6 or 8 team playoff. Ohio State not getting in...I somewhat understand the argument against them getting in, but to punish them or anyone other team for circumstances that is out of their control is why we need to expand the playoffs. With that said, Dabo is sounding a little scare in my opinion. Kind of of sounds like he is worried about losing to ND again as well.

people are only fixating on it with the big ten because of how they acted in August

They should have expanded it this year alone knowing we would have issues like this. But the NCAA is incompetent

I read the transcript and I agree with much of what Dabo said. However the CFP committee has 1 goal. Find the 4 best teams and put them in a playoff. If the committee believes OSU is one of the 4 best then put them in. Otherwise don’t.

Therein lies the problem. If the answer is "we don't know" because they're just haven't been many games, what should they do?

Well it isn’t blank. It might have less info on it than you want and perhaps that will be their undoing but you make it sound like they played NO games.
