Seems like a solid message to me. Nobody wants to hear that kind of talk in their locker room with visitors there

I hate to say this considering I'm not a Dabo fan by any stretch but,

As a black coach I have expressed the same sentiment at my practices and in my locker room. although I enjoy rap, I think everything has its place and time. Music with vulgar language in that setting is iffy, better to be on the cautious side.

At the end of the day context matters and the majority of people get that. You may see a few people cry out and they will sound loud, I just hope Clemson doesnt cave (they wont).

Itll blow over.

ETA: he probably could have been a little smarter on how he said it..

So Dabo can’t quote lyrics to a song bc....?

Seriously the only thing racist about this is dabo is not allowed to say a certain word that’s in a song because the color of his skin doesn’t afford him that right.

It’s literally racist

A NHL coach was fired for doing the exact same thing earlier this year.

I hope that you are correct and appreciate your insight.

However, things can change...especially if
Jamele Hill and Lebron say “hello Clemson.”

I think Dabo is big enough to survive this.

People will eventually move on to whatever the next thing is.

LSU also had this policy 15 or so years ago....

What you are saying is not wrong, it is just a sad commentary on our world today when only certain people are allowed to deliver a message that involves decency to others.

The left has really fricked this country up beyond repair.

Sounds like Dabo wants his players to have a little tact and manners when visitors come by. My parents gave me the same talk when I was a kid/teenager.

That's not something we can allow to the wrong people.

You had the privilege of growing up in a two-parent household. Your experiences don't matter.

Sincerely,

No way a good Christian man like Dabo Swinney

"Gosh dog it.... I mean these guys played their ever blessed hearts out. This was a fight like Paw Paw trying to pull that old tractor out the creek with that old mule Stanley we had back on the farm. I never heard Paw Paw say the N word to that tractor or shoot - to any living soul. I mean... when you're in a dog fight with skeeters up to your neck - God bless ya. I don't want to hear no Snoopy Dog calling my God fearing players N word. Shoot... Snoopy is just trying to fly that plane. Looks like a plane that used to spray for that Johnson grass out on Mr. Woods place down the dirt road from Paw Paw."

Numerous players have come forward in Dabo’s defense. This player claims he was the one that Dabo was angry at and Dabo didn’t say the N word at all. Both players who have come out in these tweets against Dabo were kicked off the team while they were there. LINK
