With all due respect aren’t you a lawyer? You know this statement is bogus and still said it.

I have no doubts Ronaldo made her uncomfortable. I have no doubts Ronaldo thinks he should feel bad about it.

But that’s all we really know for a fact. There’s millions of people that have sex daily they regret. The line has been blurred on where that turns into rape.

Ronaldo makes like $80 mil a year. A guy like him would absolutely and most likely does spend that kind of money routinely to shut girls up about their sexual exploitation’s.

You'd allow yourself to be raped anally for $100k per 90 seconds?

No, I'm not an attorney.

I know they don't mean you're guilty, but they're not a good sign in most cases.

In a questionnaire filled out by ronaldo to his own lawyers, he admitted that she said no, to stop, and that the sex was forced.

If you bang some chick and she cries rape later, are you putting it in writing that she said no and to stop and that the sex was forced if it wasn't true?

Why did he put it in writing?

If I make $80 mil a year some psycho girl is pleading rape and $375k puts it to bed, then yeah I can see some people saying this.

Why would any lawyer ask their client to write down they were guilty of something in a non criminal agreement? I seriously question any lawyer doing this in the first place.

Instead of going to the police this girl went for money. Now she’s back for more. What’s she trying to get out of this? What does a rape conviction do for her?

Jesus christ read the article.

She DID go to the police. The cop who took her statement told her she fricked up and that things didn't look good for her.

Again, read the article.

The admission came well before any arbitration or legal proceedings began. The questionnaire was simply Ronaldo's own lawyers finding out his version of the events. It wasn't part of the settlement. It was in an email exchange between Ronaldo and his lawyer.

This is probably the most ridiculous thing posted in this thread so far.

Calls others white knights while being a white knight for the guy who admitted to rape.

Best part, he didn't even realize it.

automatically assuming he is guilty are pathetic and what's wrong with our society.
He admitted to it, so there's that.

There's never been any charges or trial yet you have people casually calling a Ronaldo a rapist like it's an established fact based entirely on this woman's word.

Actually, we're doing so based on Ronaldo's word.

And frankly I dont sympathize either. $400k for a couple of minutes of penis from Ronaldo especially as a female. Get real and get over it. shite I'm a dude and 400k cash money for something in private that cant even be that painful doesnt sound that terrible. Commence with gay jokes and all but that is almost $100k per minute.
Nothing like putting a price tag on rape to not feeling sorry for someone while saying you'e being fair and balanced.

This poster has made it painfully clear that he doesn't think rape is a big deal.

My question for those who say she should have gone to the police is what could they have done? He doesn't live in the United Sates and I am sure he left Las Vegas shortly after the incident. LVPD wasn't going to follow him to Portugal and drag him back to face trial.

I am sure she was advised to not press charges or go public because of all the backlash she would receive. The vitriol in this thread is a huge example of the hate she would have endured. Now magnify that hate on a world stage when she is the reason the world's most known soccer player is accused of rape.

IMO, this woman had very little recourse but to take a payoff. Only she knows why she chose to come forward now. Hopefully her motive is to publicly shame him so he never does this again.

How is this possible? How could that have gotten out? If so, Ronaldo has the worst lawyer of all time

If that questionnaire is legit, then its clear Ronaldo raped her

But i am hesitant to call it legit at this point. I dont see how it would have gotten out

Yea, I asked the same questions earlier in this thread, but a couple of posters seem to think it's legit...not that that makes it so, just pointing out.

I’m sure he did feel bad about it.

Sounds like an entitled guy used to getting what he wanted and ignoring her instruction to stop.

Sounds like rape. I don’t think him a monster for it.

I think there’s likely going to be a need in the future to split rape up. There’s rape in which a women would never have sex with the person, then there is forced sex

Rape is rape. If I dated a girl that wanted to take things slow, and I raped her because I wasn’t planning on waiting, that is just as guilty as raping a complete stranger.

I do have a very hard time believing this girl has been affected by this like she says.

She does seem financially motivated but that could just be her way of retribution. Ronaldo is worth over 400 million dollars. A 375,000 NDA is merely spitting in the woman’s face. Maybe he shouldn’t have lowballed her in the first place.

Why is Christiano Ronaldo the first person I've ever seen that we feel the need to use the kid gloves and give him an out for rape?

Sounds like rape, but he's not a monster...when have we ever said that before?

Apparently Football Leaks is very good at getting highly sensitive information. They were responsible for some major leaks back in 2016 on soccer player finances.

I've gone back and read all of the Der Spiegel articles on this rape claim and it's very well done. The woman went to the police the very next day and underwent a rape kit. She had swelling and was given antibiotics. They've got a transcript of her call to the police. etc. etc.

Hell, the LVPD just reopened the case on Monday too.
