Think I would put him at DH over Boggs
Posted on 7/30/14 at 12:40 pm to stlslick
If you consider him an OF then he has a lot of competition with Aaron, Ruth, Williams, Mantle, Cobb
If you consider him a 1B then he has Gehrig, Foxx, and Mattingly (seriously I just like Mattingly)

I'm just thinking of their Tampa careers....
Boggs brought very little to the table and at least Vaughn had some power

Yeah I guess. I went for best career there.

Yea Boggs prime with Boston >>> Vaughn's prime with Mil/SD (although he had a ton of power)

Nope. Not on purpose. I just chose the guys who I thought were best. I guess I intuitively like JAWS (I actually do like JAWS).

If I was going to have utility player it would be Gibson. He was best athlete playing baseball in the 60's by some accounts.
