Fill me in on this..

Long story short - The LHSAA screwed up the paperwork to submit Lakeshore High into the LHSAA. Then the LHSAA discovered that it screwed up and then tried to deny Lakeshore into the football playoffs. The best part was that the school had already won a state championship in a girl's sport. The LHSAA came out with the brackets without Lakeshore in them. Lakeshore started to sued the LHSAA on Monday and got into the playoffs on Tuesday. Some other school (I forget which) got screwed over because they were out then in then back out. The LHSAA its all about the kids.

What does this have to do with anything? Are you talking about where the kid lives now? Or where his parents live? He does not live with his parents. I didn't ask the former coach where the kid lives at the moment. I didn't rent its shoes. I did not buy it a beer. Its not taking your turn Dude.

The parent that Mitch lives with has a kid that goes to SPS. But that is not the reason Mitch transferred. The reason he transferred is because Scobel got fired. After the firing Mitch looked into transferring and then found out about the screwed up paperwork. Still don't believe me? Check the kid's twitter account.

regardless there are some facts missing.. Including the fact that the LHSAA hardship committee has not met since the covington coach was fired.

there are several other things that come into play here... .personally I hop the kid is eligible...

Or how can a kid live in Belle Chasse and go to Karr? Or live in Kenner and go to East St John? These things happen all the time.

I know... doesn't make it legal.... but this is reported in the paper - way after the fact....

if a kid is split between two residences - it's a little different - apparently this kid wasn't.

Oh, I know. But it does make a lot of public schools complete hypocrites.

I am glad about the split. Long overdue. Let kids transfer however they want and split the championships in all major sports. This would stop all the technicalities and questions. The teams can still play in the regular season. I saw a kid move from a large private school in Baton Rouge for 1 day. He went to another select school in the area and was talked into going back to original school after his day of school. He was still eligible because school #1 was his original private school. It wasn't football and the kid wasn't a very good player in his sport so nobody cared. This whole back and forth thing is silly. Split the schools in all major sports and let the kids move how they want. If the private schools were leaving the LHSAA they would be gone already.
