That's exactly it. The entire system could have been resolved by allowing Curtis, Evangel, and any other team for that matter, to play in the highest classification.

But, it made more sense for the larger public schools to vote agains this, because they didn't want to have to play Curtis or Evangel. So forcing teams to play in the classification that corresponds to their enrollment was the best solution they came up with. Completely political.

You would think St Paul's would contest it, since they make their freshmen sign forms saying they will be ineligible if they transfer to CHS or Hannan

All the athletes have to sign this or just football players? What year (8th or 9th grade)?

When I was in high school, St. Paul's was a laughing stock. Still hard for me to see them competing even though they crap the bed in the playoffs.

Question - Did he play as a sophomore? Answer - Yes
Question - Was he eligible as a sophomore? Answer - No

I received this information directly from the former coach at Covington. The paperwork was filled out wrong. His sophomore year both SPS and Covington thought the kid's school of first choice was CHS. It was not discovered until this summer after Scobel was fired that the paperwork was wrong and had SPS listed school of first choice. The kid was actually not eligible his sophomore year. Both schools thought he was eligible his sophomore year and that is why no one contested it. Now because of the faulty paperwork he is eligible to transfer back to SPS. Who the heck is going to contest an ineligible kid from two years ago? The LHSAA just wants no one to find out that the paperwork was screwed up.

This is what happened. You can continue to be ignorant and not believe me or you can accept that organizations like the LHSAA eff up paperwork all the time and loopholes happen.

Chs would hav to forfeit many games....and yes the lhsaa goes back...

If it was a screw up he was eligible as evidenced by no forfeits or sanctions

I have had someone from each of the three grpuos involved all say he was eligible his soph year....

You can argue and call me ignorant all you want.....

I know the eligibility rules inside out....once you get burned. You learn

And none of us have the facts before us....

Are you familiar with the Lakeshore High situation a few years ago? All the LHSAA does is try to sweep their screws ups under the rug.

Whatever.... And god no..

Here is an eligibity question for you...

Say an incoming freshman is accepted to and going to catholic and participating in summer work outs....

Changes his mind before school starts and goes back to previous school....

Under what rules would he still be eligible at old school?
