re: Could Les Miles be a hot name for HC at Nebraska?

Miles would be a good fit at nebraska. He needs a big name school that he can recruit well. And they need a recruiter. Theyd probably even like his style of play. I think he'd do better there than anywhere else, but its probably Frost's job to lose.
Helps LSU too, by getting Miles off the payroll and getting him far away from the state so he wont compete for the top recruits. We've already got one former coach cherry picking the state, we dont need another, (if Miles were to get a job closer to home).

Trev Alberts for AD is the hot name, per WJOX. He wants Mullen as HC if he is hired.

Doubt it. Too close to Riley in profile

Mullen? Where'd you hear that? I haven't seen that anywhere. Only thing I've heard about Mullen is that he'd be interested in jumping to A&M if their coach is shitcanned

I think people at Nebraska like Riley's persona, they just don't like his (lack of) coaching ability. With Miles they get both, IF he hires a decent OC.

The radio talk show here in Birmingham just had a segment on it.

Mullen would be a good hire. Looks like this season would be a good time for him to cash out.

Frost isn't leaving UCF for Nebraska.

Did Iowa play for the big 10 championship last year?

Isn't that presumably one of the jobs he WOULD leave UCF for?

He's hired one. Mike Gundy.
He inherited Jimbo at LSU.
But what philosophy will work at Nebraska these days? The Wisconsin model?

Something close imo.

Which, I guess, afterall is originally the Nebraska model. Since Barry Alvarez is a husker and brought it to Madison.

Miles is too much of an egomaniac to have great sustained success (talking 10 win, competing for cfb playoffs on the reg) but if neb wants to return to the Solich years he can get them there. Chavis will need a job, and he can probably round up the likes of BDP, Stud, and the one, the only, DA LAST...Donothan Yanowsky.

Nebraska has gained a reputation as a place where coaches go to die.
I don't think Frost wants any of that right now in his young career.

I think he'd go if they went all in on him. I don't think it'd be a done deal like some Nebraska fans think.
