Nebraska still is. Facilties, fan support, conference, history, etc are all at the top of the list.

Even when Nebraska "sucked" in the last 15 years they were still winning 9-10 games most of the time.

They have made bad hires but if they get the right guy they can get back on track. This is a program that used to recruit nationally at a high level and can still do so with the right guy.

Callahan, Pelini, and Riley are not those guys.

Les and Nebraska seem like a perfect match for each other but I think Les is too old at this point.

Times have changed. Black dudes from CA, TX and the Gulf Coast aren't going to Nebraska.

Have you been paying attention to recruiting the past several years? Their nickname is Calibraska, for God's sake, and they have plenty of kids from the exact areas you mentioned. Their top WR is from New Orleans

How many times do I have to say it. After Harbaugh leaves Michigan in 2 or 3 years Les is gonna come back home and do what he does best, coach the OL at Michigan.

I doubt it. Miles was passed over twice for the HC job at Michigan. If I were him I'd never go back there.

As for Gundy, why would he want to leave Okie Light? Seems like he has a good thing going on there.

Miles... Stoops... Tressel... all available.

That being said, I'll be shocked if it's not Miles or Frost.

What does history have to do with it? Army used to be a blue blood too. Neither Army nor Nebraska are blue bloods anymore.

Nebraska is the #4 all-time winningest FBS program. They've won championships in the not-too-distant past. Not to mention undefeated vs. LSU.

Yep. Only issue I have with Frost is that he hasnt proven much as a HC. Yea he took a 0 win team to 6 wins, but you also have to realize that he did now inherit a typical 0 win team, they were a solid team prior.

My top 3 most probable are:
1) Les Miles
2) Scott Frost
3) Gundy

Bert is an honorable mention. I think he wants to go back to the Big Ten

lol this is absurd. ben went to Nebraska to get out of his father's shadow.

Les is not going to even consider going to the school his son chose.

No he wasn't. Les was not under serious consideration when Moeller got fired. He was the first choice for the job after Carr got fired.

The only time he was arguably passed over was when Rich Rod got fired and we hired Hoke

Um, in case you didn't know, he commentated the Nebraska game this past week, and made it pretty well-known that he'd love the chance to right the ship

I don't see Gundy in the Top 10.

Here's my candidates

Miles
Frost
Stoops
Tressel
Bielema

They're looking for a slam-dunk, big-name hire that will get Husker fans hyped.
