Could any other NFL organization have “missed” with drafting Mahomes?

Or is he that good that he delivers a championship anywhere?

Considering they've only won it once and had to come back from multiple scores down against Jimmy G to do it, I'd say no he doesn't deliver a championship anywhere.

Yes.

I think he would have failed in many places.

Success is a combination of player, coach, and organization.

He probably fails in Houston, Jacksonville, NY Jets, Cleveland.....do you see the trend of generally trash organizations?

It takes a good coach as well, give me Jacksonville with Doug P. and I think he would be fine.

Detroit
Jets
Browns
Chicago
Houston

Carolina might be a borderline playoff team. Not a real playoff contender though.

Delivering a championship is very tough.

I think he would be considered a top 10 QB no matter what team drafted him though.

We haven't quite heard this for a couple of years, but there was a theme for a while that if you swapped in DeShaun with Reid and KC's setup, he would have Mahomes' success.

Personally I think Mahomes would have been good anywhere he landed………..but landing as Andy Reid’s QB is what made him a top 3 qb year in and year out level player. Had he landed in Cleveland he would not be where he is now in most people’s minds.

Other organizations wouldn’t have had Kelce or Hill…

Ya the 2004/5 to 2008-ish Raiders. They were so dysfunctional Randy Moss was shitty.

It's more than just Reid. He got a redshirt year with Alex Smith willingly mentoring him and a very solid organization around him WITH Hill and Kelce

Your typical shitty franchise who drafts a franchise QB early, especially today, won't provide that.
