who forces it?
Can the schools?
Because players love the free market right now, idk if they unionize and kid they do… they’re gonna want way more revenue sharing.
and is to just FB? is Swimming part of it?
Would you want swimmers riding your coattails as a football player? You always make most of the money if not all of it.

Who will be the head of the union? Who is going to represent the players? Is this all sports? Health Care will be paid by who? What happens if there is a strike or lockout? Are scabs available?
Is this a union or an association? Who will certify the whatever? Also at what point does the owners/schools have to split revenues?

Right now the players have all the leverage and freedom they want. Why would they sacrifice that?
Additionally, coaches want a union and CBA to control movement, but money people see that they are able to use booster money to pay for players and keep all the tv money for the conferences, coaches, and schools. The money people don’t want a union as then the players will be asking for closer to 50/50 revenue split.

Will not happen for a shitload of reasons, one of the biggest being that many states explicitly bar themselves from participating in collective bargaining negotiations with public employees (which is what the players would become).
It's actually the opposite, there are only a handful of states where its illegal across the board for public employees, and maybe 10-12 others where its only legal for certain professions like teachers, police and fire. Collective barging for public employees is legal in the majority of states.

That's not the opposite of what I said lol. I said many states prohibit it, not most.
Regardless, good luck getting a college athlete CBA off the ground when most of the states schools in the SEC, ACC and Big XII are prohibited from participating.

Because I fundamentally understand the contract the parties enter in to?
The NCAA could have fixed this shite a decade ago, but they wanted to have their cake and eat it to. This shite ain’t the players fault, they’re just taking advantage of the NCAA getting their arse handed to them in court

No way there is CBA put together to “fix” the current state of college football. You would have to have a disaffected group of employees that are willing to band together and go through an arduous process to put a union in place in an environment that has many opponents to that unionization.
The players would have to be that disaffected group, and currently there are many selfish players and agents pulling in different directions. There are some players making a lot of money now that do not want things to change, there are other players that are happy with getting just a small amount of money now, and the employment life span of these employees is very short (approximately 4 years) so keeping this group organized and focused on unionization for an uncertain result is not going to happen.
Furthermore there are many opponents to unionization of the players because that would be a further threat/complication related to their income that is in the billions of dollars: TV networks, universities, athletic departments, coaches, etc…
Finally, it is laughable to me based on my experience in this area that people think a CBA and a union would “solve” the problems in college football. Unions main aim is to promote income for the union, and a secondary aim is to get things (mainly money) for their members. Unions promote disharmony, mistrust and acrimony so that they can use these as leverage to negotiate more money for Unions/members.
If by some miracle there was a significant union put in place for some significant amount of college football players , then mark my words, some games or entire seasons would be cancelled due to strikes, unhappy employees, etc…. (But really to extort more money from universities). IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?
If you want college football games cancelled then keep talking up a CBA as a “solution”.

Because deep down they know the money will dry up and it isn’t sustainable long term. In the eyes of PR it’s turning ugly. The point of the CBA is to have a set of rules on both sides. Right now there’s no rules. Something has to give.

The solution will be what ever makes ESPN the most money.
How many Billions has ESPN made on the backs of college athletes? Yet, they conveniently forget to criticize themselves.
