There's so much wrong with the construction of their roster, desperately needing steady to above average goaltending is going to hold them back in this rebuild unless Commesso turns out to be like Oettinger.

The Hawks have the 5th ranked prospect system in the NHL BEFORE landing Bedard. They have two first round picks, and 4 second round picks this year. Next year they have 2 first and 3 seconds. They have 40M in cap space to play with. Bet you any money they will be in on Austin Matthews next year.
