leaving on your own in college is much, much different from going to get fricked up for a week in florida.

they may have been, but i've worked in PCB with friends during spring break, and you just dont see parents there.

and if they were there, and alcohol was involved with this kids death, then that would be horrible

no doubt. However, so is leaving on your own in college and these 17 year olds will be doing that soon.

again, not close to the same thing. One has a purpose of living there and learning, te other is exclusively to drink, which uually means you are apt to drink more and behave more irresponsibly.

He doesn't get it and won't for another 10 years. I've never known anyone who didn't look back at themselves during their teen years and say...WTF was I thinking?

And they get weeded out after the first semester. People drink waaaaay more during a spring break trip than during a typical week of college.

a kid died!! he didn't get injured. he won't have to sit out his freshman year next year. he DIED. it's a sensitive subject. especially when complete assholes such as yourself, sit atop your high and mighty pedestals criticizing the parents of this dead child. how do you know the parents won't read this? friends of the parents are reading this, they already posted in this thread. you are completely insensitive and should probably go play in traffic.

yes if they have permission. Look at every other countries drinking laws. America has higher drinking ages than every other country I know about. It's ridiculous how you can go to war at 18 but not drink until 21.
