Comparison of East vs West in the NBA.

So we have 13 players in the West vs 1 in the East and that one in the east is worse than the 13 in the west...
Edit: DWade and Dwight Howard were excluded from this graphic so its 13 vs 3 at this point. The picture still is worth staying imo.

Wade hasn't signed with a team though. He could still go to the West. I'm pretty sure Howard is locked in to the Wiz.

I hate these threads when some of the guys are on the verge of retirement, but whatever. The disparity in talent is undeniable for now. I just don't want the league to mess with the playoffs because things will swing back the other way at some point. So long as we are posting about Zaza...

Rachel Nichols did a nice job on the idea of 16 best instead of east v west final.
Travel.
The current schedule is advantageous to east teams.
West teams play each other a lot. East teams can qualify for top 8 home court seeds because they don't play tough schedule.

The only teams against a 16 seed format are eastern teams.
The west already has had a bunch of crazy time zone issues for years given how spread out the west teams are.
I cannot tell you how many Rockets playoff games over the years have started at 10pm. No one seemed to care about that until now because shitty eastern franchises want to maintain their weak path to playoff relevance.
