Whittaker is an absolute animal. I wish I would have just bet on him and not parlayed Sherman with it

It's over. Paul won. The whole event was an embarrassment to boxing

‘Boxing’

I’ve said it before - Paul will never step into the ring against someone his caliber or better. NEVER

As soon as he loses, this whole money making charade is over. This is pathetic, he knocked out a (boxing) nobody, and everyone is acting like he won the super bowl and telling him how great he is.

Does Whitt get a title shot or does he have to beat Vettori first?

Gastellum ate some shots tonight.

I think you have to give it to Whittaker. Vettori was dominant over Holland but it wasn’t entertaining or as impressive.

Man both Bobby knuckles and KG looked great I thought. With wrestling like Whit showed tonight he or vatori can threaten vs Izzy

Jake Paul is either going to get the absolute shite beaten out of him, or the fight is going to be boring and Paul is going to dance around en route to getting a decision from the Money Team judges who are paid to let him win so they can keep raking in PPV cash by pretending that this kid can fight

You’re smart? Lmaooo

I think Jake Paul wins but thats exactly why Paul picked someone like Askren. None of the fighters who would actually beat him will ever take the fight because they know Jake is doing this for self promotion

It’s the opposite. Paul would never pick a guy who could actually box him, because he KNOWS he’d get his arse beat, so instead he picked a guy who is smaller and widely known to have poor striking.

Not just "poor" striking... Some of the worst striking in modern mma history. Askren literally can't even hold his arms properly to throw punches.

I loved how Snoop kept referring to his "1930s" style of boxing. Snoop had obviously never seen 2 seconds of an Askren fight if he was pointing that out and was surprised by it.

And as for Whitaker, he's likely got first shot against Izzy over Vettori, like it or not, that's the bigger fight.

I do, though, think guys are about to start trying to take Izzy down a hell of a lot more. You simply cannot sit there and try to outstrike him, especially at 185, he's going to pick everyone apart in that division.

Thats why I think Vettori may even have a better shot of beating him than Whitaker. Either way, get Izzy to the ground (where he's not as strong as most top guys in the division) and try to take the fight from him. That's the only way to beat him. No one else has the length to sit and bang with him at middleweight.

How striking is nonexistent.

This was a work just like many pride fights in Japan were. But the thing is, it didn’t have to be because the outcome either would have been a knockout by Paul or askren dirty boxing and clinching.
