Anyone watching OSU versus Michigan on the big10 network? Some good wrestling, pretty entertaining, with a good crowd. Would love to see the SEC put some money in this sport.

Missouri is the only school to try; any others have potential of adding wrestling? I get that it’s not a money sport, but college athletics shouldn’t all be about revenue.

Recording it. I started watching last year when my kids started to get into wrestling. I really enjoy the sport and I think other college sports fans would enjoy it as well. Unfortunately, the sport is contracting at the DI level.
Watching Gable Stevens (Olympic gold medalist) from Minnesota is amazing to watch, a 275 lb man moving like a 133 lb man is incredible.

Yessir, a good performance. Congrats to the tigers. I’d love to see them back in the Big12; perhaps the turmoil can make it happen.

Yep watching right now. This 174 should be the best match so far.

Wait until you see the big man Ohio State has coming in next year. Nick Feldman. Brings back Kyle Snyder memories.

Ohio State is the first school in NCAA history to sign the top three rated wrestlers in the class.

LSU had a team but in the mid-80’s the mandate to fund women’s sports killed it. Enjoy the softball game!

Most southern high schools don't even have wrestling programs, especially the smaller more rural ones. The sport just isn't a big priority down here.

Plus, I'd much rather have good baseball games to go to in the spring rather than packing into a gym in January amto watching two dudes sweat on each other in a singlet...

Seems like each region has its own college sport they like, after college football and basketball.

South and lower West Coast: baseball
Mid-Atlantic and parts of New England: lacrosse
Midwest: wrestling
Upper Midwest and parts of New England: hockey

Wrestling is great for football players. At our high school the guys played football, wrestled and ran track.

Great for developing active and violent hands as a defensive lineman, as well as tackling. Funny thing is I mostly hated wrestling in high school and did it because of the football coaches. Now I’ve come to really appreciate the sport and love to watch it.

College wrestling should be like pro wrestling. There's no future in free-style and greco-roman. Can you imagine SEC schools having wrestling programs like pro wrestling and how much heat it would generate.
