Which is why wise H.S. wrestling coaches are pushing for girls to get into wrestling.

We just started having wrestling here in South Alabama. My son was a 7th grader on the varsity squad last year. This year the team tripled in size and we have a girls team. Only a matter of time before it spreads.

LSU was ranked I think 3rd nationally when we dropped the program mid 80’s. All the kids from up north who didn’t get the Penn State or Iowa offers came to LSU.
For being a southern state, Louisiana actually has an awesome wrestling environment especially in New Orleans with all the catholic boys schools.

that is true about LSU. Kevin Jackson was an AA at LSU and then went to Ohio State after they dropped program and won a natty title. Victor Jones and Joe Attilla are other guys who wrestled. Attilla I believe wrestled in the Olympics for Syria. Lsu had a legit program
