It is amazing how many NFL QBs that the Ags and T-sips have missed in their own backyard

Texas Tech coach comes across as really down to earth and likeable

For sure. The vibe there seems like a place for a relaxed life with the good ol boys, but a place where you can get crazy at night.

Yep. Up until this year I’ve always thought of them as the Mississippi State of the Big 12. The little brother that you pull for to upset Big brother unless you are playing them. Especially when UT and A&M were still there.

West Texas? Or Tech?

West Texas is beautiful. I leave the peace you can find out there. Beats the hell out of the booming CenTex region and I-35 corridor.

The part of West Texas that Lubbock is in definitely does not meet my personal definition of beautiful

Lubbock specifically, I’ll agree. Every time I go through there, the wind howls and the dust is everywhere. I suppose beautiful West Texas is El Paso and out there and not on the plains

Only thing Lubbock has going for it in terms of scenery is its proximity to Palo Duro Canyon and Caprock Canyons.

True. I guess sometimes I’m just so excited to get away from the coast for a bit that any change of scenery is welcome for a bit.

It looks like they're doing Gameday in a small field between a bunch of parking lots.

Just kidding. Lived in Dallas for 30 years. Texas Tech people are some great folks.

I actually think some of the architecture on Tech’s campus is pretty in a West Texas kind of way. That part of the region specifically is pretty rough aesthetically though. Further north there is some nice scenery and then out by Big Bend is obviously incredible, but that is pretty far away

The people are great
