A player or wade himself? There’s a huge difference.

It’s very easy to gamble online now and it’s very easy to track who gambles.

We are going to see way way more of the stories moving forward.

I assume it used to happen to some degree with in person local bookies and such (but it wasn’t likely as common) and it was probably way harder to track.

Kind of. Holman wasn't actually hurt that day (per his agent). And Bohannon had been betting on games for at least 3 years through his retard buddy that got him caught. He was apparently very bad at picking horses, so he was trying to make up.

Pitching "backwards" against Skenes became somewhat commonplace that season. It wouldn't have raised any red flags is Alabama had decided to do just that with Holman. The way Bohannon got busted was amateur hour level incompetence. His idiot buddy goes to the Reds ballpark to try to place a random huge bet on a minor sport (relative to the gambling world). When told by the bookmaker there was a low limit on the amount of the max bet the friend protests and demands to make a bigger bet because he has a "sure thing". It took about 5 seconds for the book to become suspicious.

Free advice: If you are going to try to cheat, don't draw attention to yourself by trying to make outrageously large bets on obscure games.

It was even dumber than that. He basically told them he was talking to the coach.

The Southern Miss player, Curbelo, has had multiple opportunities to get his head screwed on straight.

Barking up the wrong tree if you're blaming NIL. Want to blame the increase in legalized gambling then you'd be on to something.

Yeah knew something major was happening when they scratched 4 of their 5 starters right before tip at Southeastern on Feb. 1 (that was the 1st game they all missed)

NOLA media was busy with the Super Bowl to care about this brewing mess
