Something Deion is obviously very good at.
That’s because he’s him, not because he’s doing a bang up job at Colorado

The comments on both sides of this just amplify the fact that this sport is no longer about the fans of specific teams, but those fans feed the business side because they can't step away despite being unhappy with the product. That does come with being a fan...
I live in Colorado and tons of kids from the HS my children graduated from are current CU students, majority are second generation.
The parents are mixed as fans that want success in terms of conference championships and playoff appearances. They are happy with the improvement from season 1 to 2, but also feel like it was due to the watering down of the conference.
They overwhelmingly feel this top 10 pay contract is premature and undeserved at this point and feel the board should have waited to see what happens this year with the new blood.
Expectations now are a playoff birth or they are going to turn quickly to burn it down and try again. They really don't care about the National coverage, though they were gloating when this all started. They want tangible outcomes, especially now that the Big 12 is a second tier conference.
Bottom line is the board want hype and coverage and the fans want results. They are hopeful, but think this is undeserved.

Everywhere you look now when it comes to college football, Colorado is talked about extensively. Regardless of their record.
So what. At the end of the day nobody ks going to care if they don’t win.
The folks in charge aren’t going to say, “well you don’t win much but you sure have us talked about”

Call it hate watching if you will, but people absolutely tune in to watch Colorado play football.
Do schools get a cut of the money from broadcasters based on how many people watch their games?

Probably worth it for all the free attention it brings
What does that attention turn into?

Indirectly yeah… how you think the SEC gets their rights fees? More people watch them. If Colorado had hired Prime a few years ago they might have gotten a Big Ten invite by now

Lol you won the same amount of games in 2024 that you won in 2020, 2021 and 2022 COMBINED
Those is obvious not about results for someone like you

1 game over .500 and turning a program around gets you to the top of coaching pay?

Their money not mine. Proud for him, otherwise it’s a big “meh.”

They’ll be eating that buyout within 2 years.
Nah they’ll go back to sucking and being okay with it, Prime would probably leave before then for greener pastures and to keep his image in good shape.

Colorado might be the 1st university to file for bankruptcy .

I do believe most would say it was premature to give him the bag. Let’s see how he does without his kids and Hunter.
