Clips gave up 5 first round picks and 2 players for PG?

Yet no one cares because it’s the clippers.
If LAL gave up too much for AD, what the hell do you make out what the clippers did?

Well PG still has like 3 years left on his contract even though the last year is an PO. And I can see clippers being better than the Lakers with an aging LeBron for the next 6 years

Its a gamble.
As long as kawhi is healthy those #1s are guys like kevon looney (injured ucla star who healed ) and at best really young eastern euros who need to fill out and are late bloomers.
The last couple could be regretted. Edit. I see two #1 are miami.

100% Agree. This board has all about how lakers got screwed in the trade. Fact is this trade was for one player and signed another in free agency. And Clippers depend on draft picks way more than the Lakers do.

Clips gonna get a ring out of this deal for sure. But i dont think this was a terrible deal for OKC at all. It will take a few years, but they will be just fine in yhe future

Long term you have to like LAC’s position over the Lakers.
Though I don’t think PG is the best complimentary player to put next to Kawhi, it certainly gives them a ton of juice

Ramona reported that Kawhi’s camp asked the Lakers to try and hold off on the AD trade until at least Sunday with the implication being that if the Clippers couldn’t pull off a PG trade, he would sign with the Lakers.
So it sounds like Kawhi had no intention of going back to Toronto. He was playing in L.A, the question was which team. His first choice was the Clippers, The Lakers were the backup plan
