This is just the start. They make it seem like they’re doing fans a favor and letting them wear Wahoo gear. You know in a few years that will be gone too.

What if they identify as Native American?

I'm ok with this but for different reasons. Who wants to get stuck sitting behind this idiot. He probably gets sloppy drunk by the 6th inning and the headdress keeps falling into your lap while he yells at the umpire.

Legit great question. I’m tempted to email the team for shits and gigs

I’m die hard. And unfortunately, that means it’s been nothing but pain and suffering.

I would never wear a headdress or face paint to a game, but I don’t care if someone else does. I called this a long time ago...I think they will soon start screening fans for Wahoo gear at the stadium entrance.

Many of those folks spend hundreds of dollars on that exact merch over the years, much of it in team stores.

Name change is happening prior to next season.

I’d be okay with something like Captains or Commodores. I dig the nautical theme. But they’ll frick it up and pick something stupid like Rockers

I lot of these name changes don’t really bother me. They’re still silly and sad, but I really don’t care.

But the Indians being allowed to change their name is a disgrace to history of the game. MLB not stopping this makes me just want to move on from watching the sport. This name literally offends no one and is over 100 years old. I can’t imagine being a lifelong fan of this team and this happening. I’d just walk away from them completely.

While true, anyone born in this country can claim this.

I’m sure the dozens of Indians fans that go to the games will be outraged.

Growing up in white rural Ohio - my parents immigrated (legally) here and as I’ve mentioned before we were the only non white family within 40 miles - they moved to Ohio in the early 1960’s... the town welcomed us with open arms - he ended up serving 5 terms in the local city council - I’m so glad he never saw this - I’m sure he’s rolling over in his grave about this. I’m done with baseball forever which is sad - as I used to be such a big fan - I could pretty much tell you a complete history from 1955-1986. I wear my chief wahoo hat now but will never watch live baseball again

The fans who usually dress up just had their chances of meeting a woman at a ball game just went up from 0% to 0.0001%

Dolan’s are trash owners, but I don’t think MLB allows this to happen, ESPECIALLY after this name change garbage. Progressive is still a great facility, had some recent renovations. Baseball doesn’t need asses in the seats for money, otherwise the Marlins, Rays, and Pirates would have bailed long ago.

Why? They were the Naps. Name changes is not unusual in Baseball.
