Dabo’s players absolutely love playing for him

I’ve said my share of bad things about the guy but I’ve got to admit it’s cool to see someone like that have success.

Some people are content with what they have.

You appear not to be one of those people

Sometimes ignorance is bliss. I don’t have any issue with him commenting back at a fan account. But let’s not act like the scale is tipped in the athletes favor when it comes to the NCAA/CFB.

If he feels he was fairly compensated, then good for him.

If we listen to him, can we also listen to the other elite CFB athletes on if they feel their compensation is reasonable?

It's tipped a lot further in the big sports' players' favor than any other student on campus

He's the Michael Scott of CFB.

What's fair? Hes from Cincinnati... from Clemson's own website

quote:

Nonresident Full Time (per year)
Tuition and fees* — $37,128
Room and board — $10,832 (approximate)
Books and supplies — $1,392 (approximate)
Total — $49,352

So including all the other benefits he receives as a student athlete like the stipend and certain medical care, the annual value of what he receives from Clemson is over 50 grand.

That’s not the point of this discussion whatsoever.

I’d be willing to bet that Clemson came out ahead in this situation.

Letting at athlete profit off his likeness is fair, IMO.

The free market value is always fairest, and allowing that allows market value to control.

It's certainly part of the point

Great rebuttal btw

As I've said before, they get $200 a day plus of specialized training. It would be like hiring a personal trainer for 2 hours every day. Strength coach/assistant strength coaches/coordinators/HC

That's $100,000 worth of education training annually, with a majority of them never going to the NFL. I'm not saying it's "fair" compensation, but this "they only get books and tuition" is crap too.

The education perks they get are insane as well. Not to mention all that free Nike swag
