Clemson freshman RB Demarkcus Bowman in the transfer portal (5* c/o 2020)

Wow. This kid was supposed to be the successor to Etienne and Dixon.
ETA: At least they have another 5* RB committed for the c/o 2021 in Will Shipley.

“He looks great,” Clemson head coach Swinney said of Bowman in August. “Just the first day out here, but he’s in great shape. He’s thicker than I thought he might be at this point. Sounds like he was 6th on the depth chart behind walk-ons because of the limited practice reps (had trouble with the play calls and protection calls).
He came from a HS that ran slow tempo, QB runs to the sideline for the play, huddle up, etc.
He would have been fine in time I'm sure. He's an elite athlete.
I feel like these situations rarely turn out well for the player transferring though, even if Uber talented.

Like anyone believes Clemson isn't contacting kids who have already committed elsewhere trying to get them to come to campus? Dabo is a hypocrite to the Nth degree with that lame arse rule.
