Clemson's best wins are unranked Texas A&M,unranked NC State, boston college and Syracuse. Boston college and Syracuse both lost ugly today. They don't have a single quality win

And let's talk about Oklahoma. They went to overtime with army. Came very close to losing to Texas tech, Oklahoma State , and gave up 40 points to Kansas.

Are these teams any good? I say no. It's called a lousy schedule and being lucky.

The Clemson hype on this board is odd

But they beat Louisville by 60!

eta: Yes, they are a good team. They have the best DL in the country and a top 5 defense. Their offense isn't at the same elite level, but Lawrence gives them legitimate big play ability.

I'm not sure Oklahoma will even get through the next couple of games without a loss because their defense is terrible.

Might as well begin an ACC hate thread. Clemson can’t control the rest of the conference.

Which Alabama?

The 10-10 tied at halftime with the Citadel Bama?

And why the frick is Bama still scheduling dogshite?

Is Bama's good win LSU? I don't see much else on the schedule.

Clemson is good, their schedule just sucks. But Lawrence has been playing like a freshman that he is lately. He'd have to be much better to have a chance against Bama

Clemson... very good.

OU... good, not a Top5 team though because of their atrocious defense. Arguably not a Top10 team.

Teams #2-8 are all pretty similar

Some just happen to have more losses than the others.

It's a circle jerk comparing them.

Clemson and Oklahoma remind me of Ohio State. Records are good, but they haven't really beat anyone and have had scares that shouldn't have been. Osu's record doesn't reflect how bad they are. Oklahoma does the same thing every year. They scored 50 points while giving up 49. Doesn't mean they're good. Just means they play in a conference where there is no defense and its shootout

Clemson is good, but I think Bama will/would beat us worse than last year if Tua is healthy.

Our OL, especially our RT is too much of a weakness. Deshaun was able to take some of that away with his ability to escape pressure and run.

Our safety's can be attacked in the passing game and our LBs seem to lose guys in coverage too often.

Oklahoma’s defense might as well not step on the field on some drives.

There's a chance that Oklahoma isn't good at all.

I'm starting to believe.

Tua SO has this Heisman wrapped up and Georgia is the only team in the country that can stop Alabama.

The rest of these top teams don't measure up.

Clemson’s defense is pretty much the same team from 3 years ago and more experienced. Aside from the QB (true freshman) the talent surrounding him is equal, Renfrow is still here but the WRs are carbon copies of the championship team. Yes Clemson is good and will show up in the postseason.

I’m sorry, the whole Clemson close games thing is hilarious to me.

If you look at the games they’ve struggled with, it was a) KB starting or b) 3rd string QB in.

Clemson has blown out every opponent they’ve faced (as inferior as they are) when they’ve had the full team.

What else do people want them to do? They can only play the schedule put forth in front of them. I’m stoked to see Dexter Lawrence and Wilkins against Bama’s line. Tua’s knee will be a thing of disaster.
