I'm surprised that Abramson was able to find so many people, too.

I knew he was an EHS guy from the 80s who played in college IIRC, but I didn't even realize he was in the House until word about the bill came out.

It's so absurd.

They knew he would be too old as a senior when they let him play varsity sports in 8th grade. I guess the LA legislature doesn't care that they're only fighting for this because he ran for over 1000 yards last year.

the split won't sink the LHSAA but this very well could.

Does Episcopal receive public funds though?

Bobby J has kids at E doesn't he?

and nevermind the legislature focusing on crime, poverty, EDUCATION, economy and infrastructure....

they can focus on a HS football player....

I can't decide who this looks worse on, the state legislature or Episcopal. The local media took the ESPN route and ran sob stories on the kid until everybody gave in. And I'm a Catholic High grad, this has nothing to do with hating on a private school.

If the LHSAA put their foot down against the split like they are now this would have never happened. They have governed very very weak in the past few years.

I dont get how it is a sob story. The kids father sacrificed everything to get him to America. Now the kid is getting a FREE education in the United States from one of the best schools in the entire state. Who gives a rats arse about 1 year of high school football.

Many parents in the state sacrifice a whole lot so their kids can get a good education in this state.....and not a free one...

Thats is my entire point. It takes some crazy arse backwards thinking and priorities to make this a sob story

I may have worded it poorly but that's what I'm trying to say. The local media has made it out to where the LHSAA is out to ruin this kid's life, when in reality, he has things better than most of the kids in the city.

I expect a catholic league, a public league, and a Christian league when all is said and done.

It's funny to see these people astounded that they have to play by the same rules as everyone else, so they create special legislation for it that gives discretionary power to ensure that rules are not applied consistently.

I think you'll see a group for privates 3a and 4a...

a group for 5a and those wanting to play with them

and a group for 2a 1a and below...

chatter from other schools over this is high volume and high octane...

I hear one basketball power may be heading to serbia to grab a center..
