He’s been a lot better this year than Stroud, and last year Stroud sucked a little be less than Jones. What’s confusing about this?

I mean…if we’re talking just the first five weeks of 2025, then yeah. Would you honestly say that if we’re including the past 2-3 seasons with Q1 of this season?

you cant maintain your bad hot take under those rules, bubba.

You’re having issues being consistent with evaluating sample sizes here

Alternatively you can just consider the player’s entire body of work as a professional

The NFL will figure you out. Have to adapt or you’ll end up like Aaron Brooks or Carson Wentz

This. 32 defensive coordinators with a year of film to watch. Adapting has a LoT to do with coaching too. Especially this young in a career. He did alright today. Lol

With the big brain analysis we see on this board it’s a wonder most of you work regular jobs. You’d think you’d all be pro coordinators

Daniel Jones obviously right now.

You lose all credibility with this take. First you give Stroud no credit for good games the last 2 weeks against bad defenses, but Jones has played 3 terrible defenses in 5 games including the same Titans, the Dolphins and Raiders. He also has multiple years of total suckage. His best season is maybe as good as Stroud last year

Strouds first 5 games last year are pretty similar to Jones this year

this is from the same people who want to ignore 20 of the last 22 games for Stroud.

Also, Daniel Jones 2022 was better than anything Stroud has ever done. Higher approximate value (15 to 14) and higher QBR (62.9 to 57.5).

Every single post you’ve made in this thread cherry picks specific samples of a player’s career to fit your narrative. It’s an impressive level of commitment

I specifically responded to someone saying Jones’s best year was as good as Stroud’s mediocre 2024.

You know that’s not the proper context but that’s also par for the course.

I’m glad the Texans fans have showed up though. You guys were absent when I first made the thread.

I can feel your anxiety with every post. You’re about to extend this guy and make him one of the top paid players in the league and he’s mediocre to bad (basically no one has the balls to argue that he’s good).

Stroud had time to throw today and went 23/27 for 244 and four TDs with 2 sacks

the Texans have one of the worst OL in the League but they played well today

167 yards rushing too

Which was a response to you claiming Jones is better based on 5 games this year when his entire career is his fat has been crap

Stroud was not bad for 20 straight games youre just making shite up now. And grossly over exaggerating 2024. He was below avg and disappointing compared to his rookie year but not historically awful by any means. The OC was fired after the season, OL was bad, the top 3 WR got hurt as did the top RB and still the team still won the division and a playoff game. Stroud was good in the win vs the Chargers

Which of these 5 game stretches is better?

107-150-71.3-1290-6-2 54 yards rush

122-177-68.9-1385-7-3 68 yards rush

He was outside of the top 20 in QBR and passer rating last year. He was in the bottom third of the league, and was even worse through the first 3 games of 2025. That’s 20 games worth of shite play. Some of you are just arguing for the sake of arguing at this point.

You can make as many excuses as you’d like - as I know you will because yall did the same thing last year - but Stroud was in the bottom of the league last year.

He's got his best completion % of his career by 6+ points. We'll see if he keeps that up.

I thought CJ Stroud was a pocket QB

Today may have been the longest run of his career
