Completely agree. They seem to be trending towards Chase, and I just don't get that.

I mean he instantly becomes their no. 1 because none of their current receivers strike fear in opposing secondaries, I want to read what other posters say regarding Cincy's current OL status though.

Did I miss Justin Fields committing an armed robbery last night?

Higgins is good.

I think They like Jonah Williams who was essentially a rookie last year. They added Rief who is a huge upgrade at RT.

They aren’t going to spend a too 5 pick on IOL, and none are worthy.

So you ask if they’re investing in the OL of the future. Maybe move Williams or Rief inside or do you pair your franchise QB with a WR he instantly has a connection with and who is also an elite prospect.

I coukd See them hoping a position versatile guy like Leatherwood is there in round 2.

They signed a tackle in free agency. I’m not sure how I’m supposed to elaborate on that

FA = free agency. The Bengals signed Riley Reiff.

You are so correct. They have a bunch of o-line in this draft. But at the same time IMo the o-line play in the NFL is way different than when in college. So the key thing here is how those guys are develop.....

I think we’re taking Chase and am fine with it as long as we take IOL round 2 and maybe 3. Williams and Reiff are two solid tackles. We also hired our old OL coach who is a big upgrade over the last guy. I’m really wondering what we’re gonna do with the center position as Hopkins was injured the last game of the season and I have no confidence at all in Billy Price.

What if Pitts falls to ya???? You take Chase over Pitts???? And the O-T you crave is still there.

Pitts would fit better, IMO. I still think the Falcons take him

Not sure we would utilize Pitts right but I wouldn’t hate it.

Why in the hell would NE trade up for a WR?

I can’t imagine they would outside of Chase sliding somehow. BB just doesn’t value the position that highly

This is where it gets sticky.......I know Chase is a great WR, you have to take Sewell to protect your #1 pick from just one year ago.... you took him #1 for a reason so make sure he is protected... Burrow is the type of QB that can make a WR better than most thought he was......

He’s a complete asshat.

Yeah, he knows what he's talking about.

Having said that, he's WAAAAYYYY off on this one.

Simms take on Fields, some interesting points

quote:

I would challenge people to go back and watch it. I know there are some good throws, but there are a handful of throws in that game where I would expect a high school quarterback to hit them 10 out of 10. I believe he's a one-read thrower. If the first read is not wide open, he's going to run or panic and he can do some bad things when he does that, can be a little careless with the football. He is not a good short-ball thrower. I look at Cardale Jones, Dwayne Haskins, Justin Fields.
