Malken's speed is really going to be a difference maker in this series, he split the defenders straight up the middle multiple times tonight.

Both games were very good today

We really laid an egg in the third period

Yes, feel very good after that game.
Better road team than home team all season, love the energy and speed, just rusty tonight, so many good looks it's not even funny.
Hopefully this series keeps playing into the Pens hands like this.

In all fairness the Boston player saw him coming and showed cook his numbers. Should not be a suspension

Didn't watch the games because... LSU. But Matt Cooke's gonna Matt Cooke:
A Penguins fan bitching about officiating is the very height of irony, but I like irony, so thanks for the laugh. I do hate the Bruins with a fiery passion, but trying to good it up with Team Goon itself is a very very bad idea. The Pens are a fairly dirty team, but they aren't vicious like the Bruins. They are more "chippy" than truly threatening. But you get chippy with the Bruins, they have about ten guys who will f'n end you. It's just a bad idea....
Except Brad Marchand. Screw that guy. He's a whiny punk who only gets away with his act becuase he's on the same team as several guys who haven't totally climbed the evolutionary ladder and have retained monkey strength.

I missed that hit last night but saw people saying stuff on Twitter. Matt Cooke is such an asshat. Chara needs to take care of it.

Last guy Chara took care of ended up with a broken spine. That clip on SportsCenter of him just looming over Crosby was hysterical.

Took all of one game in the series for the Golden Boy to start whining about the refs not giving them all the calls.
Remind me again who was the Penguin that elbowed Rask at the end of the 2nd? Who was the one that was about to have his jaw enter orbit around the earth when he got in the face of Chara like an idiot? Suck it up little guy, it's the East Finals.

I can't help but wish ill will on the pens. Dammit they are annoying as frick. I hope boston roughs them up.

Seriously, keep the whining in the NBA where it belongs.

I'm really not feeling good about tonight

his comment in the paper was actually more about consistent officiating:
obviously plenty of people hate crosby, so it's pointless to argue but the NBC broadcast kept trumpeting how the game was being called tight, etc up to Marchand's hit on Neal. After that, it seemed to go the other way.
quote:
Some of the Penguins' discontent stemmed from Marchand getting a two-minute boarding penalty for the hit on Neal, not something similar to Cooke's penalties.
"I don't see the difference, really," Crosby said.
Crosby, rarely one to publicly criticize officiating, said the way referees Chris Rooney and Brad Watson called the game contributed to the overflow of emotion.
"It's tough," Crosby said. "They're letting a lot go out there, and the more it gets like that, the more it's going to escalate. You can only control and channel that stuff so much. You keep letting guys do that stuff, you're just going to push the envelope. That's something we obviously want to stay away from, but it's kind of a natural thing when it gets like that."
Asked if it was also a matter of the Bruins trying to get under the Penguins' skin, Crosby didn't back down.
"I don't think [so]," he said. "I think it was just hard to gauge. Interference calls [made] where you barely catch a guy, and then you're allowing punches to the head and extra stuff. It's hard to get a gauge as a player.
"Are we going to play, or are we going to call those little things once in a while? It's hard to get a temperature on the game when that stuff is going on. Then you let a few of those go and everything starts getting out of hand. We've just got to focus on playing."
