I didn’t at the pick, what they gave up to move up a spot when it wasn’t necessary was the laughable thing.

They got hoodwinked by the Niners on that trade but Trubisky worked out for them. I remember the Cowherds of the world saying that Watson should have been the top pick/qb taken and were saying that the Bears and Chiefs would regret passing on him for qbs with measurable and blah blah blah.

Mahomes is having one of the top 3-4 seasons by a quarterback ever and Trubisky has basically Goffed this year. Watson has looked good but nothing says he'll ever be a top 5 guy.

I think a change in offensive style and NFL rules have helped him a ton.

Same deal as Goff.

Had he been pigeonholed in a more traditional pro style offense bad things would have happened but they struck coaching gold after their rookie years

I laughed because their trade was stupid. It still is. They would have him either way.
