Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports says more to come

Charles Robinson, one of the investigative reporters for Yahoo! Sports, was just interviewed on the Waddle and Silvie show on ESPN Radio 1000 in Chicago. He stated that there are two additional high-profile stories he is working on, on which will break within the next few weeks and another that looks like it will break in August. Mr. Robinson was prodded fairly hard by Tom Waddle, but would not divulge any individual or institutional names. He was asked to rate the Tressel story on a scale of 1-10 scale, and gave it an 8. Mr. Robinson rated the story to be broken this month as a 6-7, and gave the late-summer story a 10-rating, without hesitation.
This ends any speculation that this was the "big one," even though most of us thought that already. And the plot thickens.....
Saw this on another site so brought it here for you guys to discuss. Looks like this offseason will be just as wild as last year. Who do you think he's talking about?

One is about Auburn, guaranteed.

I'd call bullshite but his track record has been pretty damn impressive with this kind of stuff.

Agreed the guy's a great investigative journalist, that's why I'm very interested to see who he's coming up with.

I keep waiting for shite to hit the fan in Austin.
They basically had prostitutes (but honestly UT isn't alone in this).
I'm wondering what the tipping point will be. All these teams, all the players, all these illegal NCAA activities. It goes on everywhere.....just some places have a higher degree of it. It has to be a nightmare to deal with for NCAA coaches.....some of it isn't even their doing.
They basically had prostitutes (but honestly UT isn't alone in this).

I think Austin is invincible.

One of them has to be Auburn. The other I am gonna guess is Oregon, Texas, or maybe Clemson out of left field.

please fricking not be about LSU

I seriously doubt its auburn. We all know what's happened there and they are still being looked at by the NCAA. I think it's a school that hasn't been busted yet.

Agreed.

With how good this guy is, it could possibly be anyone. I happen to think this is good for college sports. Obviously the NCAA is not going to do the diligence that it is supposed to. More power to him.

Is he the reason Yahoo has been so far out in front on this kind of stuff, or is it that other media outlets are just too close to the programs?

this 10 story will frickin sink some program.
the fact that it's a 10 on his scale means its a major, major program and the story will send shockwaves across the country, and everyone will feel the impact.
again, just hope it's not LSU.

Is it an ncaa violation if you just put the kid around a bunch of girls you suspect to be less than pure, but you don't pay the girls (basically, just sluts)? Not saying anything about texas, just an honest question

Charles Robinson is to college football as Jim Cantore is to weather. If Robinson is sniffing around your team's program, you're probably fricked.

I hope it's Texas. I really hope it's Texas.

How bad would ESPN shite if Texas got USC style probation after the contract they signed?

I just hope it's not another Ohio State story.
