I don't think anyone is really disagreeing with this.

My only issue is that he obviously doesn't care enough to take his stance seriously. You don't wear a shirt with Fidel Castro on it after making these kind of comments. I doubt he even knows that Fidel Castro would have killed him on the spot for making comments like that in Cuba.

If you're going to be speak on something in a public forum for literally the entire country to see, you had better know what you're talking about and play the part, otherwise you're just going to look like an idiot.

but the cause is racial oppression so nobody ever can ever say anything against such a truly righteous cause against the evils of our country.

Yeah but its not a stretch to think he will be black balled. The NFL does that a lot

He has every right to do what he did.

And... its likely to tank his career from this point on and I have every right to exclaim how fricking happy that makes me

What does his protest have to do with the military?

After speaking with seven anonymous NFL front office members, Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman came away with the opinion that teams "truly, truly hate" Colin Kaepernick, and he may never play another down in the league. "I don't want him anywhere near my team," one front office executive said. "He's a traitor." Another team executive said, "He has no respect for our country. [Expletive] that guy." And according to one GM, "In my career, I have never seen a guy so hated by front office guys as Kaepernick." One executive said he'd rather resign than sign Kap. Freeman believes '90-95 percent' of teams feel this way, and he thinks it's possible Kap will be blackballed once/if he's cut by the 49ers. Source: Bleacher Report Aug 31 - 9:35 AM

freedom of speech is great, but you have to be willing to accept the consequences that may come with it. hope kap can sleep well knowing his exercising his right to free speech may have ended his career

Everyone involved should be comforted by the fact that Kap might be unemployed by the start of the season.

It's the NFL, if you can play, they don't give a shite. Kaps problem has less to do with the National Anthem and more to do with the fact that he's a garbage QB.

Mett's about to be on team #3 and he's not better than Kaepernick. Just look at Rice, Hardy, Tebow to see that the "distraction" factor is extremely important.

Look, I don't like what Kap did and I'll never defend his point of view because to me it makes absolutely no sense and it's based on shallow rhetoric and baseless allegations, BUT this is America and he's entitled to his opinion no matter how shitty or despicable or how much I disagree with it.

At the same time...here are your consequences for an unpopular and controversial opinion, Kap.

And another poster did have a point, this is starting to become more about others boosting themselves than it is about Kap.

One more thing...awesome troll, Chargers.

Well said.

While it's a pretty good troll. I'm ready for this story to die. People get entirely too up in arms over whether or not everyone has the same exact feelings over a flag or not.

People who play this "Kaepernick is disrespecting the military" card are clearly missing the point.

Maybe he'll get another shot in a year or two. I wouldn't want to sign him right now because there are ten guys out there who can hold a clipboard just as well and aren't a lightning rod.

But sexual assault and killing dogs won't get you blackballed, so being a douche shouldn't either.
