Chad Kelly > Paxton Lynch UPDATE: Kelly promoted to 2nd string/Lynch demoted

NFL Network is replaying the Vikings/Broncos preseason game, and it's as clear as day. Chad Kelly is light years ahead of Paxton Lynch this year and is a major upgrade over Trevor Simien as well. If he keeps playing like that, he could even push Case Keenum for playing time.

Every QB in the league > Paxton Lynch.
Kelly had a great game though. He may end up being the starter before long. Keenum is not the answer in Denver.

I remember wanting the Saints to grab Kelly in the 7th round, he was a steal at that point

I always liked Kelly ON the field.

Lynch is absolutely trash. Worst draft pick in Denver history.
Let me clarify: we’ve had our busts at higher picks, however, Lynch wasn’t even a top 10 QB in his own draft (imo).
I hated the pick the moment we drafted him. Wanted Chris Jones out of Moo St. Would’ve been the perfect Malik Jackson replacement.

It’s embarrasing for Denver. They basically sided with Lynch over Siemian and Sloter who both play for Vikings while they both out performed Lynch.

They’ve given Paxton Lynch every opportunity and he has squandered them all. He has truly gotten worse during his time at Denver.

Trevor Siemian, Brock Osweiler, Kyle Sloter and Chad Kelly are all better than Paxton Lynch.
In terms of arm talent, Chad Kelly is better than them all and it’s about time he was given a chance to be #2.

I never understood why Denver took Lynch in the first round unless they just wanted a QB with a 5th year option

I have a wager with arguably one of the biggest Broncos beat writers in the mile-high spectrum. He stated he'd pay me 20k if Chad Kelly started a game. Of course I have no intentions of paying, but screenshots last forever and he has somewhat of a platform with 50k followers. Feel free to clown @NFLAllbright

Update: watching NFL Network and they just said that Paxton Lynch has been demoted to third string QB and Kelly promoted to backup.
