Apparently my co-worker thinks so.. I looked at him and immediately thought:

Right now? For all we know he very well could be considering TO didn't even play in the League last year & didn't even last in Arena Football.

Yeah, that guy doesn't know what he's talking about. TO is batshit crazy but he was pretty great once.

If by pretty good you mean top 5 WR all time, then I agree.

So Chad Johnson tallied a whopping 15 catches last year in a full 16 games and a staggering 276 yards in those games. He might as well have sat out last season too. I would take Owens and his crazy on field antics over Chad Johnson any day of the week.

nah, chad johnson hasnt been relevant on the field in like 5 years. even back then, he would have like 2 huge games then be mediocre the rest of the year.

What is the debate, though?

Both in their primes, or who you want today?

It's absolutely insane to call Chad Johnson better. Owens has put up better numbers than Chad Johnson and TO is 4 years older. I would put any amount of money down that says Owens puts up better numbers than Chad Johnson this year.

TO is better at:

1)football
2)destroying locker rooms

This is why people would rather have CJ

The man has every right to come out and say that he wants the ball more. When he said it in Buffalo during the losing streak, he came out the next week and justified his talk by having monster game and all of a sudden Buffalo started winning games.

I don't care what you say to the media as long as you can back it up.

I'm taking TO all day. He had 8 seasons with over 10 or more TD's compared to CJ's 1. Not knocking Chad, but TO was a monster in his prime. He was one of the few WR that could beat you with both speed and physicality.

Yes it is, it's quite retarded actually! Ocho had what, 15 catches playing with Brady?? T.O. will catch at least 50 balls and score 5 TD at 39 YO with mediocre at best QB play in Seattle!! No,there is no comparison of the 2 at anytime in their careers and especially not now!!

THIS is why I've always given T.O. slack for his lockeroom troubles(which were overhyped and prodded by the media)....why shouldn't he bitch about getting the ball? He always backed it up and worked his arse off to be great. He was always the ultimate professional in the sense that he earned his paychecks...he was physically disciplined and stayed in better shape than everyone in the NFL...he knew his teams had a better chance of winning if he got the ball, you can call him selfish or whatever...but the guy hated losing, which I loved about him!! One of the best athletes I've ever watched,an absolute STUD!!
