Yeah I looked at App State's schedule and it doesn't look much worse if at all than Cincinatti's while ASU has better wins

Well, Cincinnati’s schedule is way tougher.

22 in Massey composite. I have them at #9

I see that. Just not much quality to their wins.

But honestly who does have good wins in the whole scheme of things?

Just not a fan of a 2 loss G5 team that high.

Mullens on Wisconsin being the highest-ranked two-loss team: Three wins over Top 25 teams, losses to Ohio State and "close loss" to Illinois. "We see them as a balanced team."

This is cringe worthy.

Giving Wisconsin credit for a close loss in a game they were favored by 30 in.

After Wisconsin loses this weekend, could they possibly fall below UF/Bama/Auburn, all 3 of them?

Wondering if it's possible for LSU to then have 4 wins higher than OSU's best win. Also wondering that for other rankings, as we know the committee can obviously finagle to their liking and keep Wisky above those teams to solidify OSU #1, but coaches/AP/Massey compositie, I wonder if Wisconsin could potentially be behind 4 of LSU's top wins?

But Ohio St's opponents don't in week 15 just cause?

Michigan lost by 29 to the #1 and dropped 1 spot. I'd love for someone to do a deep dive on all the ranked teams to lose to a top 3-4 team and how far they drop after and how often they dropped only 1 spot.

Head to Head makes this thing very difficult to finagle.

HtH is one mainstay of the CFP rankings (usually).

I'd much prefer to have a metric or formula that every knows what goes in it and let the chips fall where they may. Many people wouldn't like that.

Whether you're discussing who should be playing for a championship or who should be ranked 10th and 11th, you're discussing who should be ranked ahead of whom, and now all of the sudden the logic that was lambasted in 2011 is being sung from the mountaintops because nobody wants to play Clemson in the first round
I’m sure many of these people believe UF should be ranked over Wisconsin.

Even though Wisconsin has 3 top 25 wins to UF’s 1.

it is exactly the same when it comes to Wisconsin and Florida. Exactly the same

Wisconsin has 3 top 20 wins, a loss to number 1 and a loss to an unranked team
Florida has 1 top 20 win, a loss to number 2 and a loss to number 4

If you think that Florida should be ranked ahead of Wisconsin now, after all that garbage you talked a few hours ago about 4 top 25 wins and a loss to an unranked team being a better resume than 3 top 25 wins and a loss to #1, then you are the biggest fricking crybaby phony on this website

Are Auburn and Alabama going to randomly jump PSU when none of them are playing?

Sorry Florida, it appears your losses are too good!

exactly, and there's a 12 page thread on the board right now where they're fighting tooth and nail about OSU having a better resume than bama that year

It's hilarious to me that the lnchbx clown particularly was so adamant earlier about resumes and now he's singing an entirely different tun, mere hours later

So you think LSU should be ahead of OSU assuming both win this weekend, right?

LSU would have 4 of the top 6 ranked wins over OSU, so...

The most confusing/frustrating piece of the playoff committee, for me personally, has been how utterly fricking subjective everything is.

Last week the entire argument for OSU was eye test. You would think that particular argument trickled down to other teams not just Ohio state. But no, this week it’s now strength of schedule.. when ranking wisky, Florida, Michigan, Alabama.

Every single week they are just setting themselves up. Do they not realize the precedence they are setting for future rankings?

Next year and beyond they will have to give credence to the eye test more than SOS, why because they justified it this year. They won’t or shouldn’t be able to flip flop.

I’m sitting back just looking through this as non biased as I can be and it’s just ridiculous. They literally don’t realize, or they do and just think everyone is stupid enough that they can just change the weight of what they are grading every year.

Never seen so many screaming "quality loss!" in support of teams they are not even fans of.

Florida and Auburn suck.

#13 drops one after losing to #1=Screaming that's not enough
#5 loses to #12(?) and drops 7=That's absurd!

Wisconsin is easy as hell to justify...

3 > 1

Whew, that was hard.
