It's probably ESPN "paying" but they are also likely going through a company that specializes in contest insurance.
So it would be they are more or less paying the insurance premium and the insurance company is betting most kids miss.

Dabo is basically Jimbo w/if he'd had 2 Heisman level QBs instead of just 1.
When he doesn't have one Clemson is predictable as hell on offense and seemingly incapable of adjusting their game plan once things start going to pot. On top of that he's stubborn as frick and is so deeply set in his ways he's refusing to adapt to the changes in the game both on and off the field.
