He's like the Ryan Fitzpatrick of CFB. He's a career backup that's started way more games than he should due to injury or the starter just sucking. He'll randomly have a really good game and you think he's made progress and then the next game he'll start sucking again.
2020 he was 3rd string. Brennan got hurt and Finley shat the bed
2021 Brennan got hurt in the offseason
2022 Haynes King shat the bed and lost to Appy St and got benched. Max only played a couple games and to his credit won, but then got hurt
2023 Weigman gets hurt for the year.
He's not the worst QB I've ever seen or anything and he can be a game manager in college if you need a QB in a pinch, but he has no future in the NFL and probably shouldn't have started as many games as he had, at least not on the teams he's been on.
He's a tough SOB though, you can't take that away from him. Don't know how he gets up and continues after some of the hits I've seen him take.
