Holy shite this has become criminal. The TD called a fumble, the targeting, the roughing the passer. The last two were probably the correct calls, but combine that with the fact Auburn should be up 17-0 and someone is going to murder a ref

I wouldn't do that. Just put a time limit on it, like the length of the play clock. If you can't figure it out within 40 seconds of putting the headset on, move on with the call on the field.
It's funny, the standard used to be "clear and obvious", yet nobody seems to mention or follow that anymore.
