Hell he basically did the thing where you run the route for the WR and ride them to the sideline except the ball was thrown to the inside and the WR tried to cut back and run through the DB.

MHJ had two hands on him pulling him down. If he wanted to play it, he couldn’t. He definitely was turning to the ball.

b/c refs always defer to the offense.
there are a decent amount of targeting calls that should actually be on the runner for lowering their heads but instead get called on the defender.

I’d have to watch it again but I thought the DB was trying to turn back to find the ball a little bit and also why does he need to let the WR work towards the ball?
He has an obligation to move out of the way when he’s running with a WR and that WR wants to cut in a little bit?

The DB had a fist full of shoulder pad/jersey and wasn't playing the ball.
It's soft, but they call it all the time.
The roughing the passer was so soft.

WR was playing the ball and the DB wasn't and did't allow him to turn in towards the ball. It's pretty clear.
