I agree if they leave SMU out you're setting a bad precedent.

My guess: 1) Oregon, 2) Georgia, 3) Boise State, 4) Arizona State, 5) Notre Dame, 6) Texas, 7) Penn State, 8) Ohio State, 9) Tennessee, 10) Indiana, 11) Clemson, 12) SMU

That’s a nightmare matchup for OSU going against Tennessee’s DL.

i’d put Texas at 5 and flip with ND and have them play SMU. otherwise, agree with rest.

Honestly I wonder why Indiana isn't getting more scrutiny when they played FIU, Western Illinois, and UNC Charlotte OOC.

CFB is so jacked up now that Army/Navy is next Saturday AND the bowl season will start w/South Alabama and Western Michigan in the Veterans (Camellia) Bowl. We will also have Jackson State and South Carolina State in the Celebration Bowl even though that's really more of it's own thing since it's FCS.

100%.
SMU at Texas
Indiana at ND
Clemson at Penn St.
Tennessee at Ohio St.
Would be awesome. Come on committee...do the right thing.

They are going to put Alabama at Texas or Notre Dame. Just you wait. Those frickers DGAF about anything other then what ESPN tells them to do.

The conferences stand to lose a TON of money by destroying the conference championship games if bama hops SMU. The commissioners will rally on this one.
Even sankey will question defending bama. They need this money.

Here's my predictions for rankings,
1 Oregon
2 Georgia
3 Boise St
4 Arizona St
5 Notre Dame
6 Texas
7 Penn State
8 Ohio State
9 Tennessee
10 Clemson
11 Indiana
12 SMU
Bracket looks like:
1 Oregon
Bye
8 Ohio State
9 Tennessee
----------
5 Notre Dame
12 SMU
4 Arizona State
Bye
---------------------------
3 Boise St
Bye
7 Penn State
10 Clemson
---------
6 Texas
11 Indiana
2 Georgia
Bye
Oregon and Ohio State line up for a rematch, unless Tennessee can knock off Ohio State
The weakest section of the bracket features Arizona St vs Notre Dame/SMU. Snooze fest and whoever comes out of it gets thumped by the winner of OR, OSU, TN
Boise State not in a bad place to have a chance at a cinderella run to the semifinals. Don't think they can beat UGA/TX.
Georgia and Texas will go round 3 in the 2nd round of playoffs with the winner cruising to the championship game.

SOS in college football is entirely based off of recruiting rankings, its super fake. Now losses to 6 loss teams, those are objective.
Also, look at the graphic comparing SMU and Bama that was posted earlier. One of Bama's top 25 wins is against Mizzou, who is 9-3, and has never dropped from the rankings this season.
Meanwhile, Duke is also 9-3, with losses to SMU and Miami, but hasn't sniffed the top 25. In fact, I read that they're the first power conference team in nearly a decade to finish 9-3 and never break into the rankings.
The committee can manipulate the rankings as they see fit to justify decisions made on SOS.

They can't wait to send Bama to Notre Dame for the ratings.

Speak for yourself. That could be the most interesting/entertaining section in your hypothetical.
Did you see Oregon make Penn State's offense look dynamic tonight? Did you see Michigan's inept offense rush for 172 yds on Ohio State last week?
I'd love to see Cam Skattebo or Kevin Jennings have a crack at those teams.
