Makes sense, my alma mater was a small school with no football team so I defaulted to #3

I went to another SEC West school and became a fan.

The one your family went to

Fans that support a school they didn't graduate from will always be a tier below those who support their alma mater.

Why does that trump the one I went to?

Because you graduated from there. You're an alumni of that university.

I dunno Trey I'm making it up as I go, I really don't give a shite.

I just think being a fan of multiple teams is fricking weird

Real talk.

I grew up a Michigan fan but I would want to beat them by 100 if we played each other.

I guess I view it more as a ranking.

I see myself as a Bama fan, first. It's what I "identify" myself as for college sports.

I then cheer for State.

When Bama plays MSU, I'm hoping Bama wins no matter the circumstances. But other than that, I'm cheering on the Grinders.

Alma has 6 Conference Championships in a row

Unfortunately they don't play in the FBS, so I typically cheer for teams I have been able to see live.

It's not asinine if I feel morally superior.

School you graduated from. Your grandparents accomplished these things, you didn't

It is amusing to me that people really get worked up about others fandom. I have 3 different schools I root for, each I have a connection to from a different point in my life. Never thought it was weird or gave much thought to it.

Be honest Trey

You've been Bama's number one fan since about 2007

He roots for Michigan in basketball because there's a water fountain or something on their campus supposedly named after his family.
