If the MVP went to the best player every season, then Kobe would have won it for like 4 years straight with his 8th seed Lakers, and Lebron would be going for his 3-peat this year because he's the best player alive right now.
Should I open up another can of worms by saying that Kobe was never the best player in the game for 4 years?

Go ahead. I mean, it would be completely and utterly retarded to think that, but I guess that's par for the course for you
Total shooting %
Miami's PGs are better than Portland's
Orlando's perimeter defense is solid
Yea, it fits in nicely there.

More outstanding yet are Rose’s individual defensive numbers. According to Synergy Sports Technology, Rose has allowed just 0.77 points per possession overall on defense this season, an elite mark for any defender, regardless of position. Chris Paul (0.86 points per possession allowed), Rajon Rondo (0.83 PPP allowed), and Russell Westbrook (0.92 PPP allowed) – all excellent defenders – have been trumped statistically this year, and by no slim margin. Rose has each of those players handily beat, and boasts a shockingly comprehensive defensive profile. … Rose is particularly effective in defending isolation sequences, where he allows just 0.61 points per possession.
Game. Set. Match.

I wasn't laughing at the claim that Rose is the best PG defensively. I was laughing at you thinking that a 6'3 guard can have the same impact defensively on the game as center.

Look, I'm trying to avoid an unknownknight sighting, and you're fricking it all up.

You do realize that they are in the upper half of the league from a statistical standpoint, right?
They are 10th in the league in opponent's 3 point percentage. I'm sure that's all because of Dwight's interior defense though.

They can afford to get up in people's grill on the perimeter because Howard will be under the goal protecting the basket from drives.
Sort of like the Spurs with Duncan when he was in his prime. Except they had Bowen too.

Do you not see how Howard can affect those numbers? Seriously?
Still waiting on a reply from you asking me to show you where you said Rose is a better shooter than Lebron, and I linked it for you.

Amazing how you can deduce that really easily and so can just about everyone else.

It's funny how everyone that watches magic games see that is exactly what happens, but he says it sarcastically like there is no chance that Howard can affect a stat like that.

And UFownstheSEC watches the Magic more than anyone on this board pretty much.

Hmm, no clue why.

You realize how stupid this is?
Opponents shoot bad from 3 point range because Howard is good in the interior.
Makes perfect sense. I guess they are worried about Howard jumping 20 feet in the air and swatting their 3 point shots. Seems reasonable to me.

Rose's FREE THROW percentage is a full 10% better than LeBron's. But you're right, LeBron is the best player in the world because of his dunks.
