No he's not. He may be a slightly better, but it's not much of a difference.

And Ellis is a 2, not a point.

Rose is a better shooter than LeBron. Better scorer =/= better shooter.

Ahem:

Lebron isn't only finishing inside better than Rose. He's also shooting an eFG% of 47.2 on jumpers compared to Rose's 44.1

It's obvious that you really don't know shite about basketball.

Says the guy who doesn't know what a perimeter player is.

No he's not.

Rose is a better shooter than LeBron.

So the guy who makes the LOWER percentage of outside jumpers is a better shooter?

From 16'23 feet out, Lebron makes 44% of his shots. Rose makes 38%.

How is Rose better?

And where is he taking those jumpers from?

LeBron also has another threat on his team from the perimeter.

You think teams give a shite if Rose passes to Keith Bogans or Ronnie Brewer? Game-changing studs right there.

LOL.

I just love how Gamecock keeps throwing things out as facts, when I guess he doesn't realize people track these stats and ALL the actual facts prove him wrong.

So no one else plays defense there? Just Howard? He and he alone is the reason why they are 5th in the league in PPGA? Not only does he never allow points in the paint, but he also defends against the guards on a team as well?

Let's see.

Turkoglu? No defense.
Jameer Nelson? Average at best.
Jason Richardson? lol
J.J. Redick lolol
Gilbert Arenas LOL
Quentin Richardson

Rose is .2% better from 3.

Lebron is freaking 6% better from 16-23 feet out.

Bron is also 1.1% better from 10-15 out.

But hey, keep making blanket statements like Rose is the better jump shooter.

So they never contest shots? They just stand there and wait for Howard to come out and bail them out?

Glad to have that cleared up for me. Only one player on the Magic contests shots. I learn something new every day on this board.

And the "well people play off LeBron because they respect his drive so much" argument isn't valid at all here, because defenders do the exact same to Rose.

Why do you suppose that you're about the only person on here or of any analysts out there who don't think the Magic are horrible on perimeter D?

They are all bad defensive players. Your original question asked if Howard was the only one who plays defense. And yes, he's the only one who plays it effectively.

Can you point out where I said that.

Oh and LeBron still isn't winning MVP this year.

So if you are going to give credit to Howard for all of Orlando's defense, I'm going to do the same for Rose, since he is statistically the best defensive point in the league, even more so in iso situations.

If the MVP went to the best player every season, then Kobe would have won it for like 4 years straight with his 8th seed Lakers, and Lebron would be going for his 3-peat this year because he's the best player alive right now.

But it doesn't work like that.

Yea, no problem.

Right here

You said:

Then why is the bigger player a better outside shooter as well?

No he's not.

This is the part where you say an outside shooter and jump shooter or 2 different things, LOL.

Go ahead. I mean, it would be completely and utterly retarded to think that, but I guess that's par for the course for you.

Which is why I've ceded the debate for the most part. Stating that he's had the best season, is actually the most "valuable", or that there isn't or shouldn't be a debate is what I'll argue.
