Griffin better get his references in order. He'll be the next scapegoat because Lebron can't play defense/run a system.

Since starting 19-20, Blatt was 68-20, made it to the NBA finals in his first year and was the current #1 seed in the East in his 2nd.

And that gets you fired.

And sure....Lebron wasn't consulted on this

Since last season, LeBron James and his agent Rich Paul have been strong advocates of Lue becoming head coach, league sources tell Yahoo.
Most powerful player in league history?

Makes trades, takes a leave of absence to vacation mid-season, makes his own subs, hires/fires coaches. When he's tired just stops playing, forcing the coach to call timeouts

No wonder he left Riley

Reminds me of when kids steal something but act innocent and then conveniently "find" it after looking for a while

They should've annulled the Blatt situation as soon as Lebron came on board. Instead they let it die a slow agonizing death.

I think the Cavs have paid close to 60M to coaches TO NOT coach in the last five years.

Outside of Thibs, who's a better coach that's available right now? I don't know why LeBron hates Blatt so much.

I think the only coach Lebron ever liked was Silas.

The closest parallel to this situation is the Lakers firing Paul Westhead 11 games into the 1982 season barely a year after winning the NBA title. Magic Johnson didn't get along with Westhead at all and demanded a trade because he didn't want to play for Westhead. The Lakers ended up replacing him with a young assistant coach named Pat Riley and the rest as they say is history.

How about the Heat firing SVG for Riley at the beginning of their 2005-06 title run?
