It started about a second early. It started when the ball hit the rim. Honestly don't know that rule. Is the clock auto restarted right when it hits, and then refs should start counting the 8 second when possession is controlled or what?

Because they started the clock right when Miller tipped it. No one on the Cavs ever had possession until 22 was left on the clock.

supposed to only reset when the possession is controlled by the opposing player. Tipping the ball out of a players hand and scrambling for the ball doesn't reset it, right? lol
