All they did was find kids that are good at football and ask that they come play for them.
Do we know that for sure or are you guessing?

Probably some shady ACT proctors as well....if it's anything like how they win football games. Just a hunch.
Yeah there definitely isn’t some insane jealousy about Catholic High going on for some people between the ages of 25-50 in this thread.
In Baton Rouge, private school kids go to Catholic schools they are also better educated than in the shite hole Louisiana public education system. Of course Catholic High, Episcopal, etc are going to have high test scores. to suggest teachers are dirty when their budget doesn’t go up at Catholic High for a good school year is to be obtuse. It’s your trashy arse public schools that are more than likely to cheat test scores. Leap, ACT, PSAT, etc.
And I’m not sure which moron said it, but coaches don’t make up half the teaching faculty at CHS. What an absurd statement.

They volunteered for the select division without selectively chosen players?
Yeahhhhh, so that’s not how it works.

That is quite the melt. It’s not that deep. End of the day these kids chose to go to Catholic. And as much as you want it to be, there was no pay for play anything.

Where are people seeing this? I have not found any information saying that this is the case

While this punishment stems from numerous recruiting violations, Trent said that more violations could have occurred. “It’s not just recruiting it was other things. I had heard impermissible benefits, I had heard falsifying of documents for kids to have less of a financial burden to come to Catholic and play,” Trent said.

What is that link?
Matt Trent, what a hack. Never trust anyone with two first names.
How many qualifiers can he use in his “reporting”? There “could have been” this, ”I had heard” that. Dude doesn’t know shite and says those things with qualifiers for the clicks.

Basically there were things going on with some open houses and visibility issues at games, coaches were told hey I want you to go here and do this and I want you to get these kids to an open house,” Trent said.
Way to say something without actually saying anything at all, Matt. You mean to tell me that Catholic tries to get kids to come to their open house? Alert the Pentagon, boys. That’s just the nail on the coffin.

Anyone who chooses to call into question the academic prowess of Catholic High is a fricking moron.

Nope, all players remain eligible. Which indicates no evidence of illegal benefits. That would certainly have made players ineligible. Seems like the evidence the LHSAA has relates more to the administration of an illegal scouting program to contact kids about playing football at CHS.

Well do we have any explanation or evidence as to what really happened? No? Then why are you saying shite like...

You or me have no clue what really happened and pretending like you do shows your bias to Catholic High

Innocent until proven guilty. If there was pay for play (there wasn’t) I’m waiting on the evidence.

They admitted guilt wtf are you talking about? You have no idea what did or did not occur. They literally forfeited two state championships and are not appealing.
quote:
“In March of 2021, the LHSAA informed Catholic High School that it was under investigation regarding alleged violations within the school’s football program that potentially occurred in 2017. Catholic High School administrators worked diligently with the LHSAA to aid them in their investigation in whatever way possible. The investigation concluded in May of 2021. It was determined that Catholic High School’s 2017 and 2020 State Titles, and the 2018 and 2019 State Runner-up titles would be revoked.”
“CHS respects the confidentiality policy between the LHSAA and member schools, and will not comment further. As this matter is now closed, we look forward to moving on to the 2021 Football Season and post season under new head coach, David Simoneaux.”

I could give a shite if they win every year after this, just is funny seeing the hypocrisy in all you former bears claiming to know exactly what transpired when in reality you have no f'n clue.

They didn’t admit guilt, they accepted sanctions. You don’t know shite buddy.

I know the same as you, pal. What is being reported in the news. Which is nothing in regards to what rules were broken. I get you love CHS though, its cute.

?????
Sanctions are things like suspensions and probation
You got fricking hammered and the only thing they didn’t do was ask for the kids’ rings back

You’re right, not ideal. It’s what happens when you have an incompetent governing body.
