Public spectacle? Are you living under a rock? The entire state of Louisiana is talking about this. No. If Catholic had ANY semblance of innocence they’d be fighting this. GTFO.

I am assuming this isn’t to me because I agree with you

Again, I don't know how many times I need to say that I agree Catholic broke the LHSAA rules. Read my post again and youll find that I said that CHS could have tried to get the sanctions reduced, as Mckinley and others have tried, but it would have been at the cost making it publicly known which individual players were recruited based on the redacted excel chart that WAFB has. Even if the sanctions dont match the crime, the school would rather bite that bullet than lose a bunch of students whos names are on that list.

Is this true? Any evidence of this?

Dunham and Episcopal are both better schools than CHS and do not do this to my knowledge. Also, it’s not fair whatsoever from an athletic standpoint that CHS is able to give these kids free shite in exchange for them to play sports at their school, when the public schools cannot offer that. How is it hard to understand this? The argument that CHS is such a bastion of honor and education is also laughable, as most of the teachers are coaches and aren’t worth a shite at teaching and 90% likely don’t even hold a masters degree.

The names of the kids would have remained redacted. The only time the name of the kid is released is when an individual appeal is made regarding eligibility or hardship waivers.

every school that has been sanctioned for recruiting and won titles or runners up - gave back trophies. the penalties were known before hand... risk / reward

It’s not fair that private schools can offer scholarships to kids so they can play sports, where they otherwise would not be extended the opportunity and forced to go to public school.

CHS has more resources so they get the first pick of the litter as it pertains to sports. Is it that confusing?

I dont think any of the LHSAA allegations mentioned impermissible benefits to athletes. It seems the issue was systematic recruiting. If you have proof of illegal benefits then show it because that is different from the allegations so far.

When they recruit athletes they don’t offer to waive tuition as mentioned by another poster? I assume the two are synonyms

Will Catholic lose any kids already on the team because of this?

Not much time for you I feel. The Catholic way is too ingrained in you as has been proven in your numerous statements that Catholic should be allowed to be above it all.

Done with you. You are hopeless

Yet I’ve offered you a safe space to let go of your hate.

Its my duty as a Catholic alum, I will strive to find the good in you.

It’s not fair the children should have to limit their options by playing for an inferior school with inferior opportunities, education, based on location.

Give me liberty.

Dunham is not a better school than CHS. Episcopal, BRMHS, UHigh, SJA and CHS are the cream of the crop in BR

Nope, all players remain eligible. Which indicates no evidence of illegal benefits. That would certainly have made players ineligible. Seems like the evidence the LHSAA has relates more to the administration of an illegal scouting program to contact kids about playing football at CHS.

So we are all speculating as to exactly what happened? Bc the LHSAA wont formally state the infractions?
