pretty much, we've come close a few time when I was there. Losing to WM, and evangel both times, and honestly we didn't stand a chance against them. North LA schools kicks Catholic's arse every time. I still cant believe we lost when they had warrick dunn, and then travis minor. The best shot we had was a few years ago when ryan lewis was QB, and weiner blew it against acadiana

The common denominator here in Weiner fricking shite up.

The way i see it now is like another poster said. No kid wants to go play football at catholic now. Not since families started sending their kids to public schools. CHS can't bring in the stud "athletes" like they did before. I've seen quite a few CHS football players come into where i work over the years for various injuries, and I honestly asked myself how these guys were playing fotball. They were all undersized, and to be honest....pussies. I couldnt believe how they were acting to some of these injuries (or lack thereof).

For the most part it seems that their lines are partially undersized, but their skill players are usually very talented. I definitely wouldn't say NO kid wants to go play football at Catholic. They're no where near Redemptorist level.

Is Bro Ronald still in charge there? I thought he went there after SSC. If he is, then he is safe, as it's only about academics and loyalty to the school.

I don't mean exactly NO ONE. but when I grew up, we couldn't wait to get to high school to play for catholic. they were a big deal back then. not so much now.

Didn't they lose to Zachary in week 1 bc they had too many players on the field on the last play?

What, was Weiner trying one of his old trademark 'lonely end' type plays or something.

I don't think so. I've never heard that name before.

This Thread is full of DUMB! "Under the table," Really? Are you fricking kidding me. They offer talented kids from public schools partial scholarships to one of the best schools in the state for doing a work program over the summer. How is this underhanded in any way? And they never take idiots, you have to make the grades or your gone. Also, I agree Weiner is, and has always been the problem. His playcalling and game plans are moronic.

What gets me to this day is that with all of that talent on that semifinal team a few years back that they couldn't have found a decent kicker

He's produced more than they ever had before he showed up. Trust me, they were going 1-9 before he showed up.

What other all-boys schools have had 5A State Championships? I can't think of one.

Exactly. He needs to let soccer players kick. That is the reason we lost to Acadiana.

What was it, like a 40 yarder? Had to go for a TD on the last play of the game because Ledet could barely make an XP.

Saw your brother in the paper the other day.

I beat him 145 to 58 in fantasy.
