If a Bama fan did the equivalent of what Bartman did, they would be murdered, arrested, or both civil rights Philadelphia, MS style.

No, It is ALL Dusty Baker's fault. That fat slob just sat there and watched his team fall apart. Never once left the dugout to argue or attempt to calm everyone down after the Bartman incident.

He also destroyed mark Prior & Kerry Wood's arms that year.

On the 30 for 30 deal ESPN also did some type of science calculations and stated the Alou would have made the catch or had a 90% chance to make it. But I ain't buying that shite.
I'm on the Dusty HATEWAGON, too. But remember, Mark Prior was just an unlucky guy. He got hurt many times by some strange accident, either Marcus Giles running into him on the basepaths or Brad Hawpe managing to make contact and lining up his pitching arm.

I know that didn't all happen in that particular year (at least I don't think they did), but you can blame Prior and Wood for their lack of control for their high pitch counts. Sometimes it would take Prior nearly 80-90 pitches to get to 5 IP. That's absurd.

Am I totally offbase here?

Bartman should be on Gonzales' Christmas card list, for sparing him from being the biggest goat in sports history. It was a tailor made double play ball he screwed up.

But the villain is Alou. The way he pouted like a child and essentially called out Bartman was a show of poor sportsmanship that almost got a poor fan killed. I don't think I could hate a player more.

Not totally. The Giles collision did happen in 2003. And Wood & mostly Prior did have control issues but why do you leave a pitcher in a pitcher after 120+ pitches?

"In 2003, Prior averaged 113.4 pitches per starts in regular season. In the month of September, Prior recorded 126 pitches per start. Prior averaged another 120 pitches in games in the postseason and struggled with an injury the next season"

I don't even think one of us neck Bama fans would blame a fan for losing a national championship
shite, Harvey Updyke killed our trees because he got mad a Cam Newton jersey was placed on Bear Bryant's statue, and the Teabagger decided to stick his balls on a drunk guy for no reason. Are you kidding? The REC would make this guy disappear in no time. And if the REC didn't do it, some Alabama fan would burn his house, or something.
