Have the dumbest fan base in all sport. I don't even think one of us neck Bama fans would blame a fan for losing a national championship. To ruin bartmans life over doing something THAT EVERY FAN in that dump wrigley field would have done is arse-I-9. I swear. :drinks:

I agree. Blaming a fan for trying to catch a foul ball, something that any other fan in any baseball stadium in the world would have done is absolutely stupid.
I mean good god, the score was still 3-0. It was game 6, and the Cubs had a 3-2 lead. It's not Steve's fault that the Cubs couldn't hold a damn lead in game 6, or win game 7.
The game 6 loss is just as much Alex S. Gonzalez's fault for botching a routine groundball for a double play (he didn't get anyone out), than Bartman.
It just goes to show how fricked up fans are. If you are willing to cause physical harm to someone because a form of entertainment didn't go your way, you need some serious help.

It's basically everyone else's fault EXCEPT for Bartman. The Cubs organization should do the right thing and give Bartman season tickets for the rest of his life. If they did that, and I was Bartman, I would sell every single ticket every time and just make money off the shitty Cubs.

It is ALL Gonzo's fault. Every bit of it. And there is no gaurantee at all that Moises Alou was going to catch that ball even with no fans in the stands.

No, It is ALL Dusty Baker's fault. That fat slob just sat there and watched his team fall apart. Never once left the dugout to argue or attempt to calm everyone down after the Bartman incident.
He also destroyed mark Prior & Kerry Wood's arms that year.
On the 30 for 30 deal ESPN also did some type of science calculations and stated the Alou would have made the catch or had a 90% chance to make it. But I ain't buying that shite.

I wouldn't draw that comparison. I don't see how a fan in the stadium of a football game can actually directly effect the game.
